Dental Gum Disease FAQs

Today Gum disease is the leading cause of tooth loss in American adults. The reason for this is poor oral hygiene. The first sign of gum disease is gingivitis. Gingivitis occurs if you don't take good care of our mouth, causing bacteria to build up inside the gums. Initially the gums may perhaps simply bleed, or become swollen.

Effects of Gum Disease:

  • Bleeding
  • Bad Breath
  • Overall health

To prevent Gum disease from occurring, you should Brush your teeth twice a day and floss once a day. An average person should get their teeth cleaned and check twice a year to make sure they prevent gum disease from occurring.
